Should You Consider a Water Pick?

You’ve probably heard about the importance of cleaning your smile. You’ve may have been told that you should brush and floss every day, and that you should visit your dentist frequently. But with all of the dental care products available, what should you use to clean your smile? More specifically, should you consider a powered toothbrush instead of a manual? Or a water pick instead of traditional floss?

Do you ever wonder if an electric toothbrush is really the best option for you? Luckily, manual toothbrushes and electric toothbrushes work equally well for most people. However, electric toothbrushes can be better for certain situations. For instance, individuals with arthritis or other problems with their hands the elderly may have difficulty making circular motions. Fortunately, electric toothbrushes make that motion for you. Similarly, if you have braces, an electric toothbrush may work better for you.

Finally, we recommend using a manual toothbrush if you find them more comfortable. If you are more comfortable when you are for your smile, you’re more likely to brush for the recommended two minutes.

Again, a water pick might be better than losing for you if you have problems with your hand or struggle to maneuver floss in your mouth.
