From whitening and shaping to replacing and reducing spaces, cosmetic dentistry offers a wide variety of procedures designed to help improve the current state of your smile. Dr. Cherrington has an array of techniques and tools at his disposal that are able to restore the lost luster from any patient’s smile.

Teeth Whitening

Over a lifetime, teeth can slowly become discolored and stained, losing a little of their brilliance along the way. Patients who suffer from tooth discoloration can often feel anxious or uncomfortable about the appearance of their smile. This can cause them to shy away during personal and professional situations where they would otherwise shine.

Teeth bleaching and whitening have become a commonly used and widely popular way to brighten any smile. Many of Dr. Cherrington’s patients have restored the complexion of their smiles with the simple, at-home bleaching kits offered at Rimrock Dental of Redmond. Restore your smile to the color you want, and start smiling brighter today!

Bonding, Chipped teeth, Gaps

A simple and convenient way to change the appearance of your smile, Dr. Cherrington can use tooth bonding to repair a number of cosmetic issues, including correcting misaligned teeth, closing gaps, repairing chipped teeth, and whitening teeth discolored by thinning enamel.

To prepare a tooth for a bonding procedure, Dr. Cherrington lightly etches its surface before placing an enameled-colored composite material over your tooth. The tooth is then bonded, sculpted, colored, and shaped to repair the appearance of your smile. Once treated with a high-intensity light, the surface of the tooth will look natural, blending seamlessly with the rest of your smile.

Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin pieces of porcelain used to replicate the natural appearance of teeth, while also providing the resilience and strength of tooth enamel. Veneers make a great choice for any patient looking to change the position, shape, size, and/or color of their teeth. Ultra-thin porcelain veneers appear nearly invisible and are highly resistant to staining.

Dr. Cherrington will begin the treatment process by performing an analysis on the current state of your smile to determine what is required to help achieve the smile you desire. From there, Dr. Cherrington will schedule your first appointment to begin treatment. Most dental veneers can be placed and bonded in two dental visits. Dr. Cherrington coordinates with a local ceramist who practices at the Rimrock Dental office. Your porcelain restoration will be custom made and shaded to fit your smile.

Dental Crowns

A tooth-shaped cap that fits over a damaged tooth, dental crowns help restore the strength, shape, and size of a tooth, while also improving its appearance. When cemented into position, the crowns will fully cover the entire visible section of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line.

Dental crowns help prevent teeth weakened by decay from breaking, restore teeth that are broken, or cover and support teeth with large fillings when not much of the original tooth structure remains. Dr. Cherrington’s goal is to provide the highest quality restoration that technology can provide. He works with local labs that have the latest equipment and material to fabricate custom porcelain crowns. Although technology has allowed dentists to start making crowns chair side, it’s difficult to beat a lab-fabricated crown for both fit and aesthetics. Rimrock Dental of Redmond also offers the option for a gold crown on posterior teeth at no additional charge.
